This week we will be working on the long vowels with odd spellings: eigh, -old, -oll, -igh, -ign, -ild and –ind.  The dash in front of the letters indicates that these combinations go at the end of a syllable.  These sounds can be found in words such as: weigh, cold, stroll, sigh, benign, wild, behind, etc.  The red words with week are most, clothes, piano, wolf, flood and floor.  Please encourage your child to arm tap the red words to memorize them.
