**Remember to read for at least 10 minutes each night!!** 

**Parents- please help your student to find some words they can read in a magazine or food packaging that they can cut out and tape on our Word Wall.  Thank you!

This week we will be working on the “magic e” vowels.  When a vowel is followed by a consonant-e, that vowel is usually long and the e is silent.  You can find these sounds in words such as: rake, trapeze, side, tone, rude, etc.  The red words this week are here, give and live.  Please encourage your child to arm tap the red words for this week.

 

 

**Parents: please help your child cut out words they can read to bring to class for our word wall.  These might be sight words from the newspaper or a magazine, or they could be brand names from packages.
