 **Remember to read for at least 20 minutes each night!!** This week, we will be working on the or sound in words. Or is an r-controlled syllable. You can find this sound in words such as: core, sort, chortle, etc. The red words this week are here, give, live, whose and from. Please continue arm tapping the red words with your second grader. Continue looking for fun new ways to have your child read and write. Let them make the list for the store. Reading ingredients and instructions from a recipe. Reading a movie summary from the back of a DVD. Write emails to their friends from school.
Keep it fun, that's the attitude we want them to take when they think of reading and writing!
